Making Music Academy is looking to recruit a new “Making Music” teacher to join our team and deliver our much loved program! You MUST be energetic, enthusiastic, organized and most of all have a passion for music and development of babies and toddlers.

Ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Understand basic principles of childhood development and have a natural love for working with babies and toddlers

• Creative, positive, and energetic disposition

• Patient, kind and empathetic

• Punctual, organized and can think on your feet

• Friendly and natural communicator, outgoing and energetic.

• High standards for cleanliness and presentation.

• Be able to run a music session smoothly, giving everyone the best possible experience

• Be available to run sessions mornings and/or weekends

• Be confident to lead a group adults, babies or toddlers with singing, dancing and using instruments -  supported by some recorded music and musical instruments

• Qualified in Early Childhood Education, Music, Music Education or Education or ‘actively working towards’ would be an advantage point

• Hold a children’s Vulnerable Sector check

• Previous experience in a similar role/industry (childcare centre would be an advantage, or teacher/ TLA)

• Hold a current first aid accreditation and CPR

 

Working 2-4 days a week – flexible working hours; mostly weekends and / or weekdays,
Starting as an assistant, undertaking full training, then commence as a “Making Music” teacher after training.

 

 We are looking for someone to work with us long term and become a strong foundation as our business continues to grow.
